Departure at 7:30 am from Bath heading towards Exeter, the capital of Devon, for a first quick tour of the city centre and Cathedral Close: Gothic Cathedral of the thirteenth century. Next stop was Plymouth known for its huge natural harbour, maritime city and a big naval base of the Royal Navy. After long walks through the streets of the city and a quick takeaway bite like real English people we headed towards the HOE lighthouse which was dismantled and relocated on the mainland in 1870. Ten-minute nap next to the lighthouse overlooking the ocean and then off to the station for the next train direct to Penzance in Cornwall. After finding our B&B for the night we found a nice place to enjoy good Fish and Chips with genuine cod fillet.

A hearty breakfast at the B&B with butter, eggs and salmon fillet was essential to start the tour of Cornwall on board a bus. Enchanted by the immense cliffs we stopped in Porthcurno to visit the Minack Theatre and the beaches at the foot of the cliffs where the inhabitants of Cornwall were swimming while we were wearing jeans and a sweater.

Tomorrow wake up time at 5:00 am, direction Bournemouth...
